Since its inception, it has evolved into a registered non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organisation operating across Eastern Province and beyond.

The organisation is formally registered in Zambia under the NGO Act No. 16 of 2009 with registration number RNGO101/2651/2025. Headquartered in Chipata, at Plot Plot D25K1A1, Lusandwa Road, St Monica's, Chipata, Eastern Zambia, Kwacha Kum’mawa is committed to advancing public interest and fostering sustainable community development, with a strong emphasis on women empowerment, youth development, and other vulnerable groups.

We tackle systemic social and economic challenges through programmes in education, digital inclusion, health, and community empowerment. Our initiatives are guided by the values of integrity, inclusivity, accountability, and collaboration—ensuring that communities are not just recipients of support but active partners in shaping their own development.
