Founded in 1982 as Joliet Area Community Hospice, Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care is an independent, nonprofit healthcare provider licensed in 11 counties in Illinois including Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Livingston, McHenry, and Will. We provide exceptional serious illness care, hospice care, and grief support for adults and children.

For over 40 years, Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care have offered personalized, expert hospice care for adults and children diagnosed with a limited life expectancy. We provide palliative care for both adults and children facing life-limiting illnesses without a terminal prognosis, as well as bereavement services for patients' families and the wider community.
