  • Mission

To restore the healing ethos of therapy through education, community, and open inquiry.

    About Us

The Center for Therapeutic Advancement grew from a concern shared by clinicians, scholars, and educators: that the healing purpose at the heart of psychotherapy can become obscured by the institutional, cultural, commercial, and intellectual forces that shape the profession.

The Center was created as a project of restoration and advancement: to examine those forces thoughtfully, preserve what is valuable in our field, and strengthen what comes next. That means recovering what should endure, examining what may be pulling the field away from its purpose, and building the knowledge, skills, and professional relationships needed for therapy to evolve without losing sight of why it exists.

The Center brings together clinicians, scholars, educators, writers, and other professionals committed to serious inquiry, open dialogue, and the continued development of psychotherapy. Our work is grounded in evidence, ethics, intellectual humility, and a shared responsibility to the people and communities our profession exists to serve.
