    About Us

Mid Shooks Run Community Garden (MSRCG) is a vibrant, volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to cultivating a sustainable space where people and plants thrive together.

Our garden is more than a place to grow fresh produce, it’s a hub for community connection, learning, and environmental stewardship.

We serve residents of Colorado Springs and the surrounding neighborhood by:

    • Providing individual garden plots and shared spaces where members can grow fruits, vegetables, and native plants.
    • Hosting educational workshops, “Talks and Tastings” events, and hands-on activities to teach sustainable gardening practices and promote healthy lifestyles.
    • Supporting local food security by donating surplus harvest to food banks and community programs.
    • Partnering with local government and environmental organizations to promote sustainability and responsible stewardship of urban green spaces.
    • Encouraging social connection, wellness, and stress relief through gardening and community activities.

At MSRCG, we believe that growing food together strengthens not just our gardens, but the ties that bind our community. Whether you’re an experienced gardener, a curious learner, or just looking for ways to give back locally, there’s a place for you in our garden.
