Description
Help a community group turn a skill they already have into a small business that pays its own way.
What you will do
- Cost out products that local groups already make.
- Find buyers and test prices in nearby markets.
- Write a one-page plan the group can run on its own.
Who this is for
- Students and graduates of business, economics or design.
- You can do the sums and explain them simply.
- You plan for the group to run it without you.
What you get
- A business plan for your portfolio, tested with real buyers.
- A free letter confirming your dates and your work when you finish.
What it costs
This placement is unpaid. Room and meals can be free in this role; we confirm it in your offer. Otherwise the usual fee applies:
- From abroad: USD 810 for one month, USD 1,350 for three, USD 1,980 for six, plus a refundable USD 45 deposit. You need health and evacuation insurance.
- From India: ₹9,000 a month for one month, falling to ₹3,000 a month for six, plus a refundable ₹1,500 deposit for some housing.
- Not included: flights, visa fees and insurance.
- Group discounts and scholarships can lower the fee.
- The fee is less than your stay costs us.
