Role Summary:
The Volunteer Handyman will support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of physical spaces and installations. This role ensures that facilities and project sites are safe, functional, and well-maintained, contributing to the smooth operation of on-site activities and community-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Inspect facilities and equipment to identify issues and ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist in setting up, assembling, and maintaining equipment or structures for projects and events.
- Support minor renovations and improvements to enhance functionality and usability of spaces.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyman services.
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve practical, hands-on issues.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift equipment when needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with carpentry, electrical, or plumbing work.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
- Experience working on community, nonprofit, or project-based initiatives.
