    About PostBaby Bliss Foundation

    The PostBaby Bliss Foundation is a startup nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting postpartum families through education, resources, and compassionate care. Our mission is to empower parents during the postpartum period by fostering a community of support and offering programs that prioritize maternal and family well-being.

    Job Identification

    • Title: Development Officer (Volunteer)
    • Job type: Part-time Volunteer
    • Department: Development
    • Reports to: Assistant Executive Director
    • Location: Houston, TX (local candidates only)
    • Schedule/Commitment: Flexible hours (approximately 5-15 hours per week)
    • Date of recruitment: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

    Role Overview

    The Development Officer will play a key role in identifying, qualifying, and stewarding major donor prospects, as well as cultivating broader community partnerships.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Donor Cultivation & Major Gifts:

    o Identify and qualify individuals, families, and local businesses with the capacity and inclination to support the Foundation.

    o Cultivate and solicit major donors through personalized outreach and follow-up communications.

    • Community Engagement & Networking:

    o Represent the Foundation at local events, gatherings, and meetings.

    o Build and maintain a diverse network of community allies.

    • Support for Fundraising Campaigns & Events:

    o Assist in planning and executing local fundraising campaigns and donor events.

    o Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure successful event logistics and donor engagement.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or community engagement.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Nice to Have Qualifications

    • Experience identifying and soliciting major donors.
    • Familiarity with donor management tools.

    Preferred Personal Attributes

    • A proactive, self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
    • Someone who has high integrity, empathy, and patience.
