We bring volunteers into the lives of children and youth in foster care in South Carolina, currently. We need more tutors willing to enter into the child's foster home weekly during the school year, to guide and encourage the child to academic accomplishments.
You don't need to be a brainiac in upper level calculus. You do need to be structured, consistent, and encouraging. Our vision is that SC is the first state where all children in foster care have their very own private tutor in their foster placement.

Healing Hugs Project is hosting an art supplies drive to support HHP's newest project, Art Supplies Kits for Teens. These kits are made with a teen in mind, and will be distributed to teen patients spending time inpatient at various Omaha hospitals. The age appropriate supplies will not only keep the teens busy but will also let them know that they are loved and cared about. Supplies needed are acrylic paints, paint brush sets, watercolors, canvases, adult coloring books, colored pencils, thin markers, individually wrapped clay and clay tools. The Appointment Scheduling volunteer works with our Scheduling Coordinator to manage the phone appointments. Each volunteer handles the calls on a specific day. Volunteers are set up with a Google Voice # and assigned a Chromebook to enter the appointments into the scheduling system. You can do your calls at your convenience during that day.

The Lifecare Institute provides palliative and hospice care for individuals and families throughout Anne Arundel and Prince Georges Counties, Maryland. Care is provided in-home and at senior living communities.
