20th Anniversary Party Volunteer with Gowanus Canal Conservancy
📍Kings County, NY
Support Gowanus Canal Conservancy at Gowanus Blooms, our 20th Anniversary celebration at Powerhouse Arts on May 7th. Event volunteers will have a shift of about three hours and help with a range of tasks such as event set-up, coat check, food and dessert prep, selling merch and raffle tickets, compost engagement, helping guide people to the event space, and event breakdown. Volunteers are welcome to arrive early or stay after their shift to enjoy food, drinks and the party.
Make a Lasagna for a Neighbor with Lasagna Love

As a volunteer Lasagna Chef, you choose your level of participation—once a month, several lasagnas a week, or anything in between. You also decide how far you’re able to drive to deliver and whether you can accommodate special diets. Volunteers purchase the ingredients and cook the lasagna, and the Lasagna Love team handles the matching. We also provide online training to make you comfortable in your volunteer role.

As a volunteer on the wildlife rescue center you will help with the animal care, feeding, cleaning, rehabilitation, rescue, and release of animals. The mission of the wildlife sanctuaries in Costa Rica is to give the animals time to heal from their injuries and when they are ready, they will be released back into the wild. Some of the animals will be in the sanctuary for their entire life because they would not survive or they are too domestic.
