Have you been wanting to spread joy and make positive changes in your community? Idealist Days are the perfect time to get started!

What are Idealist Days?

Our founder, Ami Dar, wanted to create a day of planning and action on the 12 days of the year that are written the same worldwide (7/7, 8/8, 9/9 etc). This is an open invitation to people from all around the world to take action in their community about how they can make the world a place we all want to live in. On these days, it is encouraged to dream, set plans, and take action in your community for the better.

What activities are done on Idealist Days?

These are the days to discuss the dreams you have for improving your community and to develop actionable plans to bring those dreams to life. It's the perfect time to start a community garden, organize a book drive, set up a park cleanup day, or simply take the initiative to connect with your neighbors.

How do I participate in Idealist Days?

If you have an activity or idea that you have been working on, Idealist days are the perfect time to turn thoughts into action. Not sure where to begin? No problem! Browse through exciting volunteer opportunities, events, or our collection of Recipes for Action to inspire your next great idea. At Idealist, we also host events around the New York City area for Idealist Days. You can follow our community group, Idealist Days NYC, to stay in the loop on all our exciting events.

If you are an organization or community group, you can create an event for Idealist Days and encourage users to RSVP. Be sure to share photos of your event online to help spread the word about this day of action.
