GiGi's Playhouse Indianapolis

  • Mission

GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis is committed to changing the way the world views Down syndrome. We provide free therapeutic, educational, and career-development programs that build confidence, independence, and daily living skills for individuals with Down syndrome from birth through adulthood. Our mission is to create a community where every person with Down syndrome is welcomed, empowered, and supported to achieve their fullest potential.

    About Us

GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis is part of a national network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers dedicated to lifelong learning and acceptance. We serve families across central Indiana with free programming that strengthens language, literacy, motor skills, social development, job readiness, and independent living skills.

We believe every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive, grow, and be celebrated for who they are. Our programs are research based, goal oriented, and grounded in love and community connection. Families come to GiGi’s for support, but they stay because they find belonging.

We partner with parents, caregivers, professionals, volunteers, and community leaders to break down barriers and open doors for individuals with Down syndrome. Our work is sustained by passionate volunteers, generous donors, and a strong belief that the world becomes better when every voice is heard and every ability is valued.

GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis is a joyful, vibrant, and inclusive place where individuals with Down syndrome are seen for their strengths and equipped for success. We are proud to serve as a home of hope, empowerment, and lifelong achievement for families throughout Indiana.
