THOSPS & SAAK was founded by Sibhon Wicks, a single mother and survivor of domestic violence, to ensure that no parent or child in crisis has to face hardship alone. Our name stands for "The Hands of Single Parents & Survivors and Kids" — because those are the lives we serve with compassion, dignity, and purpose.

Our mission is deeply personal. We meet people where they are — often at the lowest points in their lives — and walk with them until they’re ready to rise. Whether we’re placing a mom in a safe hotel, helping a teen access counseling, or empowering someone to earn their GED, we do it with love, patience, and lived experience.
We are actively growing and building a community of volunteers, mentors, and partners who believe healing is possible and that everyone deserves a chance to rebuild their life.
